Biography

Yunierki Felix Hodelin was born in Oriente, Cuba in 1984.  He describes his work as being based on social-spiritual issues.

Using thick, textured paint, recycled materials and collage he creates images, often with cartoon-like figures, that speak to his harrowing experiences as a child.

“Due to my afflictions, my love for art was re-born, after trying to escape from the pain and loneliness. Through my art I was able to find inner peace and comfort, it also brought me to a deep subconscious level where I was forced to face my true self and I was able to learn valuable information about my own personality. Something that helped me know and understand myself in a way that I was able to partially and positively correct.”
